GOLDSTAR, BISCAY 36
D esigned by Alan Hill and built in Falmouth, 1975, GOLDSTAR is a Biscay 36 ketch version. Produced in 29 units, Antoine buys in June 2016 the first hull manufactured by the yard Falmouth Boat Construction. In April 1969, the same shipyard hosted Sir Robin Knox Johnson on his glorious return to the first solo race around the world. The yard continues today to attract many yachts renovation, restauration and repairs for all craft up to 100’ and 100T.
fter eight months of restoration, the boat has recovered its element and Antoine will be able to go back sailing in order to be starting from the Golden Globe Race in the best dispositions.
GOLDSTAR is a sturdy, elegant and comfortable boat; a versatile and easy-to- operate single-handed boat capable of playing the leading roles in this great maritime adventure.
The recent discovery of the original mould abandoned not far from the site helped to write a new page of this story.
